Reduce your fuel costs by 10%
Reduce your maintenance costs by 30%
Reduce your emissions by 64%
Within a diesel engine, approximately 75% of the diesel that enters each cylinder is fully combusted. This leaves other 25% behind as wasted fuel which produces carbon deposits that clog various parts of the engine, contaminate the engine oil, and produce harmful emissions. This unburnt fuel limits the potential of diesel combustion engines.
Hydrogen combusts 10x faster than diesel and is therefore an extremely valuable catalyst to the diesel combustion process as it results in a more complete burning of the fuel in each cylinder. Hydrogen can improve diesel combustion from 75% to a potential of 93%. This significantly reduces the amount of unburnt fuel left behind in the cylinder from 25% to as little as 7%. Evidently, hydrogen unlocks the full potential of diesel combustion engines.
The Diesel-Hydrogen Assist Technology (D-HAT™) system produces pure hydrogen gas from steam-distilled water. The water is converted to hydrogen gas using a proprietary electrolysis process. The hydrogen is then introduced to the intake air of a diesel engine.
The D-HAT™ system produces hydrogen on-demand which eliminates the need to store hydrogen and instead produces it in real time as the engine is operating.
Hydrogen On Demand Technologies (HOD) has developed a patented PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) cell that enables on-board and on-demand hydrogen production. The PEM cell is powered by electricity from the engine's alternator to split the hydrogen and oxygen atoms of steam distilled water.
The pure hydrogen gas produced by the PEM cell is then introduced to the ambient airflow that enters the engine through its air intake. The D-HAT™ system does not manipulate or otherwise impact the engine's operating systems in any way.
Introducing hydrogen to your engine leads to increased combustion efficiency which extracts more power from your fuel and prolongs the lifetime of your engine.

HOD was founded by a group of Silicon Valley executives with 100+ years of collective business and technology experience. HOD is the California based manufacturer of the D-HAT™ system. HOD has partnered with Green X Solutions to introduce their technology to diesel engines everywhere.
The D-HAT™ system provides an average ROI of 9-18 months, depending on the specifics of your diesel operations. Your ROI can be delivered even faster than this with HOD's lease-to-own purchasing option. By gathering some brief information from you such as your diesel fleet engine details and fuel consumption, we can provide you with a free ROI calculation right away.
You can expect a minimum of 10% fuel savings and lower maintenance costs without changing any aspect of your current operations.
Hydrogen presents some inherent challenges in relation to its production and storage. HOD has circumvented these limitations by utilizing hydrogen as combustion catalyst, rather than a fuel source. The amount of hydrogen introduced to the engine by the D-HAT™ system is less than 1% of the total engine intake air, resulting in manageable hydrogen production demand. To eliminate the risks related to the storage of hydrogen, the D-HAT™ system produces hydrogen on-demand.
HOD's technology merges the established utility of diesel engines with the powerful capability of hydrogen infusion to elevate the potential of diesel energy production.

Here are some common questions we receive about the D-HAT™ system. If you have further questions, we look forward to receiving a message from you here.
Water supply options vary across the different models of the D-HAT™ system. The size of the system is entirely scalable depending on your engine's hydrogen requirements. For example, in a semi tractor application, the D-HAT™ 1000 will produce hydrogen for 1,500 miles (2,400 KMs) or approximately 50 operating engine hours with a full tank of water.
Steam distilled water is the one and only consumable substance within all D-HAT™ systems.
Fuel: The D-HAT™ system reduces your fuel costs by increasing the combustion efficiency of your engine. If more fuel is combusted within each cylinder of the engine, the pistons will be driven downward with more force, resulting in the engine producing more power. The D-HAT™ system allows your engine to extract more energy out of the fuel it injects.
Maintenance: Since hydrogen increases the amount of fuel burnt per combustion event, there is much less waste produced from unburnt fuel. This waste produces carbon build up within your engine and leads to required maintenance. The D-HAT™ system minimizes the source of your engine maintenance requirements by dramatically reducing carbon accumulation within the engine.
Emissions: By eliminating most of the carbon waste during combustion, the D-HAT™ system reduces the amount of carbon that is emitted from the exhaust of the engine. This not only helps with environmental compliance, but reduces the strain on your existing emissions control systems such as a Diesel Exhaust Fluid system.
The D-HAT™ system comes with a physical LCD display and wireless telematics to provide you with comprehensive insights and performance metrics.
Installation of the D-HAT™ system simply consists of a wired connection between the engine's alternator and the power supply of the system, as well as a hydrogen supply tube being attached to the engine's air intake from the system's hydrogen output port.
The size of your D-HAT™ system is entirely dependent on your engine's hydrogen requirements. Once we have established the appropriate D-HAT™ model for your operations, we can dive into model specifics.
